Merry Christmas from our home to yours'!

This time of year is especially meaningful to me because we celebrate the birth of our savior! Do you ever think about what life would be like if we had no Savior? I do, and I can imagine that I would lead a very hopeless life. Yet there are millions of people out there who don't believe or haven't yet heard. This makes me very sad because there is so much more to life than living for ourselves, or even our families and friends. I am praying for more opportunities in the coming year to share my faith with others without being ashamed or afraid of what they might think. For me this comes through building deeper relationships with those I come in contact with--my neighbors, my kids' friends and their families, people I seem to "run into" frequently. I pray the same for you this Christmas season---and also that you will see Christ in a new light and be renewed in your spirit.

Merry Christmas my friend!

Loving Him

  2. Thanks Lisa! No rush on getting yours' out...I know you've been swamped with work lately. And I always enjoy them whatever time of year they come. :) Yes, God has been so faithful, though I'm not always the most obedient of children ((sigh)). Christmas blessings to you too!

  3. Mel, you're HIS child and He loves you unconditionally, as you know. : ) In my life I am praying for Godly sorrow that leads to repentance, not my own self-condemnation....plenty 'o that to go around. A friend of mine uses a phrase I like, "God's eye-view" which I really like. I need to apply that phrase to Christmas: to see it and celebrate it as He does. much love....so glad you're posting!

  5. Mel, Merry Christmas to you! Oh, how I will be praying the same thing as you, that I will unashamedly share our Lord with others!!

And, Kathy (I don't even KNOW you), your comment about "praying for Godly sorrow that leads to repentance" spoke to me in a huge way.... because I, too, have plenty o' self-condemnation. Thank you for sharing your prayer for your life. It's now mine as well. :)

  6. Kathy, You hit it right on the head there about praying for Godly sorrow that would lead to repentance, rather than our own guilt and condemnation which really does not create heart change. I've been thinking much about this too. And thank you for the blog award! I'm so blessed and honored. I'll have to take the time to write my "honest thoughts" soon. :)
Karly, thanks for stopping by. :) I'm glad you've "met" Kathy and have also been blessed by her writing. Hugs to ya my friend!
